Spotify Podcast – Just the start of it all now up!
Its just an intro to start but getting my confidence together to share with ‘the public’ across the digital world (even as I type) is dauting. But I am so very keen to help people to better understand and get the best out of their marketing that I was able to push my accent, nervous feelings aside and start my first little podcast.

But I am so very keen to help people to better understand and get the best out of their marketing that I was able to push my accent, nervous feelings aside and start my first little podcast.
Courage is being… well sh*t scared and doing it anyway, and that is what I have started to do and will continue to do hopefully being less scared each time.
In the podcast I want to share all I have learnt over the last 20+ years of marketing, branding, communications, sponsorship etc. etc. etc. I will be talking about some topics by myself and I will be sharing case studies from brands that rock marketing and those that just don’t. There are plenty of lessons to learn and from the informative and fun podcasts, backed up from case studies I hoe you will be able to take action and make your marketing brilliant. Where I do not have the skills completely in the bag and there is someone fabulous in the field I will ask them to join me on a podcast and share all they know for the listeners benefit.
Most importantly I really want each listener to enjoy each podcast and to have learnt something thy can use to be inspired from, as affirmation or to action.
All the content is aimed at helping you in your career or business because I want more people to become enlightened, educated, excellent marketers…..Its just the start and it will get better because I have some really great content lined up!

The client states “I’m only interested in new marketing can you do that?”
Me: “Yes, but you need ‘traditional’ marketing to ensure that your new marketing is targeting correctly and delivering what you need for your strategy.”
Client: “Ok but won’t what take more time do that, I just want to get on with the new and see results quick!”
Me: “But if you do you deliver tactics incorrectly you will have wasted money and time. If you invest a little more finding out what your strategy should be, or if known already, how best to deliver then you’ll see better results… ones you can amplify and scale without damage to the brand or the strategy.”
It’s a tough one to get a client to see, but crucial for success. Simon Sinek uses the WHY (which I love) to see what should be done and how it fits in.
Les Binet and Peter Field researchers extraordinaire highlight the struggle very well with their insights into the marketing industry.
I believe that ALL MARKETING WHATEVER KIND YOU CALL IT is researched, understood, executed with tactics and measured. Only to do that same cycle with variants for learning/ optimisation.

The 3Cs Model..
It’s simple enough looking at this industry model. It offers a strategic look at aspects needed for business success in an easy visual. It also reminds marketers to look at the positioning of a product/service with care, knowing that each element interlaces with the other.
?(The model was developed by Japanese organisational theorist Kenichi Ohmae, he referred to these key factors as the three Cs or strategic triangle. ).?
The 3Cs model points out where a marketing strategist should focus, these are the core three factors:
– Company
– Customers
– Competitors
Only by integrating these elements a competitive advantage may exist.
Customers have wants and needs > the company acknowledges this and offers a product/service to cater to their expectations. A favourite topic of mine is back again… its USP… the business must also differentiate from competitors.
